Control Your Habits | Two-A-Days

Did you make a new meal last week? Share it with us using #Unpredictable. I hope you found that you can make time for something if you choose to. Stop making excuses and start making memories! Let's jump into this new week.
Today’s challenges go one step farther.
In case you haven't noticed, we're trying to bust you out of your routine. In the spirit of Spring Cleaning, we want you to declutter your bathroom today. Put away all the things you don't use EVERY DAY. The counter should be clean and the top drawers should only have your daily (not weekly) necessities. Put everything else under the sink or in a bag somewhere.

This will keep you from getting distracted in the room where your routine traps you. Distractions, missing items, uncleanliness, etc. All these things happen in the bathroom. To make your routine help you be Unpredictable, focus only on the necessary items and habits. If you're waking up earlier and earlier to get ready, who is your routine actually helping? Newsflash: no one is affected by your routine except for you...

Time your morning routine. Go through it normally after you've cleaned up the bathroom. Then attempt to cut that time in half when you try again - spend minimal time in the shower, make a quicker shave, dust only a light coat of makeup, deodorant, brush your teeth, and you're out the door.

Control your habits--don't let them control you.
